This Privacy Policy describes how Accendum LLC ("Owner", "Company", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of FADE™ — Fake Detection Engine (the "Service") at infarium.com, collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information about users of the Service. Please read this policy carefully.

We collect and process information to provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service, to communicate with you about your account, and to fulfill our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for purposes beyond those described in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Service, including via web browsers and the FADE browser extension. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that may be linked to or integrated with the Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account and identity information: name, email address, authentication identifiers (e.g., Google account ID), account preferences, and subscription status.
Usage and activity data: analyses performed, URLs submitted, timestamps, feature usage patterns, analysis results, interaction logs, and session data.
User-submitted content: URLs, web content, and any other materials you submit for analysis. Please note that content you submit is processed by automated AI systems and third-party model providers.
Technical and device data: IP address, device type and model, operating system, browser type and version, referring URLs, and unique device or session identifiers.
Cookie and tracking data: cookies, local storage, and similar technologies as described in the Cookies section below.
Billing and payment data: subscription tier, billing history, and invoice records. Full payment card details are processed exclusively by our third-party payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored on Company systems.
Communication data: messages you send to us through support channels, including email correspondence.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes: (a) to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service; (b) to generate, deliver, and store AI-powered analyses based on your submitted content; (c) to authenticate your identity and manage your account; (d) to process subscription payments, issue invoices, and manage billing; (e) to send you transactional communications such as account confirmations, analysis notifications, and billing receipts; (f) to send you optional product news, usage summaries, and platform updates where you have opted in; (g) to enforce these Terms and our policies; (h) to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical errors; (i) to comply with applicable legal obligations; and (j) to analyze aggregate, anonymized usage trends to guide product development.
We will not use your personal information for any purpose that is materially incompatible with the purposes described above without your consent or as otherwise required by law.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (Where Applicable)
For users located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with similar data protection laws, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
Contractual necessity: to perform our obligations under the Terms and provide the Service you have requested, including account management and processing your analyses.
Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve the Service; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to send service-related communications, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
Consent: to send optional marketing communications and to use certain non-essential cookies, where you have provided explicit consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and lawful requests from government authorities.
5. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share or disclose your information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers: We share information with trusted third-party vendors and contractors who process data on our behalf to support the Service, including cloud hosting providers (Google Cloud), AI model providers (Google LLC), payment processors (Stripe), email service providers (SendGrid), and analytics platforms. These providers are contractually bound to process data only as necessary to perform their services and to maintain appropriate security.
AI model processing: URLs and content you submit for analysis are transmitted to third-party AI model providers for processing. Please review the privacy policies of those providers, as their data handling practices may differ from ours.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process (such as a court order or subpoena), or lawful governmental request.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy involving the Company, your information may be transferred to the acquiring or successor entity, subject to applicable privacy law protections.
Protection of rights: We may disclose information to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, its users, or others, or to detect, prevent, or address fraud or security incidents.
Aggregated and anonymized data: We may share aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, for research, product development, or reporting purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. In general: account data is retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period thereafter; analysis data is retained according to your account tier and settings; billing records are retained as required by applicable financial regulations; and communication data is retained as reasonably necessary for support and legal compliance purposes.
When personal data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymize it. Certain residual data may be retained in backup systems for limited periods consistent with our backup and disaster-recovery procedures.
You may request deletion of your personal data as described in the "Your Rights" section below, subject to applicable legal obligations that require us to retain certain data.

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), access controls and authentication, secure cloud infrastructure, and regular security reviews.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information, and any transmission of personal data is at your own risk. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities in accordance with applicable law.
8. International Transfers
The Company is operated in the United States. Your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States or other countries, which may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country of residence.
Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the relevant regulatory authority, or we rely on other lawful transfer mechanisms. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your information as described in this section.
